Tuen Mun Public Riding School is the largest public riding school managed by HKJC Public Riding Schools Limited, it is a busy competition centre for all levels of riders throughout the year. It enjoys a quiet location between mountains and the sea on the western fringe of Tuen Mun in the New Territories. It adjoins LCSD Tuen Mun Recreation Sports Centre, which provides an archery and gateball field, a golf driving range, a climbing wall and rope course for public use.
Located at the foot of Pok Fu Lam Reservoir Road, Pokfulam Public Riding School is a peaceful oasis not far from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is the busiest riding school due to its convenient location and family atmosphere. It is also the home for the Riding for the Disabled Association and Hong Kong Riding Club.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) established Beas River Equestrian Centre (BREC) in 1964 as a home for retired racehorses, evolving into a premier facility for members with riding schools, competitions, and retraining programs, notably serving as a venue for the 2008 Beijing Olympics equestrian events and fostering local equestrian sports development. Before dedicated schools, Jockey Club members used Beas River for riding classes, with activities growing in the '60s and ‘70s.
Built and managed by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Pony World is located in Penfold Park, in the infield of Sha Tin Racecourse. Offering a unique equine education experience, Pony World provides school groups and families with an invaluable opportunity to interact with and foster an interest in ponies. Through a range of interactive learning activities, including pony rides, stable visits, and photo opportunities, visitors can get up close to ponies, deepen their understanding of horses, and develop an interest in equine activities.
